Pre-registrations for 2026/2027
This applies to all new students, including siblings of children already enrolled at Vauban.
To prepare your child’s pre-enrolment, please refer to the detailed information below.
Applications must be submitted online only, from the opening date, via the Start my online application button at the bottom of the page.
This applies to students who already attend Vauban school.
Re-enrolments are carried out online once the re-enrolment period begins, via your Restricted area (or by clicking on the Re-enrolment button at the bottom of the page). Families will receive an e-mail specifying the start date for re-enrolments.
Re-enrolments for siblings must be carried out separately for each child.
If you are considering enrolling your child at Vauban during the school year, our academic secretaries are available to answer your questions and advise you on your enrolment options. You can find their contact details at the bottom of the page.
Open to all nationalities
Only online applications submitted with a complete file will be considered.
Admission in Petite Section: children must be three years old by 1 September 2026
Documents are to be submitted online only (accepted formats: PDF, Word, JPEG)
Before you start the online procedure, we recommend that you gather all the necessary information and familiarise yourself with the resources available on the website:
curriculum descriptions per level: Kindergarten / Elementary school / Middle school /High school
language pathways: Primary / Secondary (a decision-making tool is available to help you)
Next, prepare the documents to include with your pre-enrolment file, as per the list specified above, in the required format.
Also remember to gather the information about your child’s current schooling (modern languages, options chosen, any special considerations).
Lastly, take a few moments to prepare a personal message expressing why you want to join Vauban. This text, included in the online form, allows the admissions team to better understand your approach, your expectations and the coherence of your family’s educational project. (We would rather you write this text in your own words and discourage you from using AI tools.)
Once your file is ready, carry out the online procedure from the start dates specified for each level.
Please fill in the form using a computer (rather than a smartphone or tablet) and take the time you need to complete all stages without interruptions.
As part of the online application, you will be asked to:
Fill in the pre-enrolment form
Upload all of the necessary documents
Pay the non-refundable €200 application fee by bank transfer.
A separate online file must be submitted for each child to be enrolled. In the case of siblings, repeat the procedure for each child in question.
Parents applying for admission to Vauban for the enrolment of their child from Grande Section (final year of kindergarten) to Terminale (final year of high school) should bear in mind that their child’s final admission will be subject to successful completion of tests.
These tests apply to all students applying for enrolment, regardless of their current school, whether they come from a French Ministry of Education-recognised system (AEFE schools, schools in France, public schools or private schools under contract with the State) or from other educational establishments.
By invitation, subject to available places (Tuesday and Thursday afternoon). Please refer to the primary entrance test document for more information
View the annual progression benchmarks and end-of-year expectations from CP to 3ème: Eduscol website (French Education Ministry).
If a student lives too far away to attend the test in person, the parents must contact their child’s current school to arrange for the test to be organised there.
Please refer to the secondary entrance test document for more information
Admissions cannot be considered unless the tests have been completed.
Complete files, with application fees paid, will be reviewed during the admissions committee meetings in February, March, April and May.
They must be submitted at the latest by:
Applicants will be informed of the admissions committee’s decision by e-mail only, one week after the deadline for submission of complete applications.
If the school is unable to offer you a place at a given admissions committee meeting, your application will be placed on the waiting list and automatically carried forward for review at the next committee meeting. There is no order of priority on the waiting list.
Applications submitted late or after 10 July 2026 will be reviewed before the start of the school year, subject to remaining availability.
Places are allocated as a priority to families whose children will have their legal domicile in Luxembourg at the start of the school year. However, the school is willing to consider other cases, subject to available places.
An enrolment is considered final once:
The €600 deposit has been paid by bank transfer within eight days (non-refundable in the event of withdrawal)
All of the necessary documents have been submitted online, according to the instructions in the section Documents to submit > For the enrolment confirmation above
Once these elements have been received and validated, the enrolment confirmation will take effect.
