In response to the discontinuation of the school bus service, Vauban has introduced new solutions to meet the needs of families.

Morning welcome

These services were initially offered to the families who used the former shuttle buses. As a few places remain available, you can apply to register your child.

Activities available from CP to CM2

Alongside its school curriculum, Vauban offers a programme of extracurricular activities for elementary school pupils (from CP to CM2).

These are based on six main educational areas, in line with the guiding principles for non-formal education issued by the Luxembourg Ministry of National Education, Childhood and Youth:

  • creativity

  • languages and communication

  • sport

  • learning to get along with others
  • managing emotions and the body

  • science

These areas are developed through a wide range of activities offered throughout the week and tailored to different age groups. Children are supported and supervised during these activities by the school’s instructors and coaches from sports clubs.

Organisation of extracurricular activities

Our extracurricular activities are organised after school from Monday to Friday.

There are two registration options: an annual option and an occasional option with registration at least 48 hours in advance, allowing the pupil to attend the leisure programme (including arts, crafts and indoor/outdoor games – the times are the same as for the annual option).

Please note: for the annual option, the leisure programme cannot be selected on its own and must be combined with an activity of your choice.

Monday and Wednesday : 

4.20 to 5.20 p.m.
and 5.30 to 6.30 p.m.

The service includes a break, a snack and 1 or 2 activities of your choice.

Parents can pick up their children at 5.30 p.m. or at 6.30 p.m. at the latest.

Tuesday and Thursday : 

2.15 p.m. (after lunch at the canteen) to 3.45 p.m.
and from 4.45 to 6.15 p.m.

The service includes a snack and 1 or 2 activities of your choice. Before or after the selected activity, the after-school programme offers a ‘fee-based leisure programme’, supervised by instructors who organise a range of activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor games, etc.

Parents can pick up their children at 4.30 p.m. or at 6.30 p.m. at the latest.

Friday : 

4.45 to 5.45 p.m.

The service includes a break, a snack and 1 activity of your choice.

Parents can pick up their children at the end of the activity or at 6 p.m. at the latest.

How to register

Annual registrations

via the ‘Restricted area’ (‘Parents’ area’) > End of year

  • CP-CE1: as of 20 May 2025 - 12.00 p.m.
  • CE2-CM1-CM2: as of 22 May 2025 - 12.00 p.m.

Occasional single-day registrations

From 8 September 2025 to 1 July 2026 – excluding school holidays and with 48 hours’ notice

via the ‘Restricted area’ (‘Parents’ area’)

Holiday clubs

Vauban offers holiday clubs organised during the 2025-2026 school holidays and intended for all children from CP to CM2.

The specific programme for the clubs will be communicated later.

Children are welcomed from 8.45 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the latest.

First club

From Monday, 27 to Friday, 31 October 2025 - 5 days

Second club

On Monday, 23 February 2026 - 1 day

Third club

From Monday, 6 to Friday, 10 July 2026 - 5 days
