School catering

Registration
School catering is optional. Canteen registration is annual and can be modified on a term-by-term basis via your ‘Restricted area’.

Lunch
Lunch is served to pupils in four sittings according to their year groups. Kindergarten pupils (PS-MS-GS) have lunch in their classrooms, whereas the other year groups eat at the school canteen. Menus are devised jointly by the educational community, the catering provider and a dietician.

Kindergarten
Children are given a snack (fruit, yoghurt, sliced bread with spread, etc.) before the morning break on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are not allowed to bring in their own snacks.

Elementary school
The only snack provided by the school is a piece of fruit once a week. Children may bring in their own snacks, preferably fruit, vegetables or biscuits.

The school has both a canteen and a cafeteria.

The canteen is open to all students, and families can choose whether their child eats lunch at school or out of school (e.g. at home).

The cafeteria is open from 7.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. It is located in the food truck (in the middle school playground) during break times and in the Mandela area at lunchtime.
