Pre-registrations for 2026/2027
Guidance, methodology and deepening of knowledge – these are the key approaches we use for all our students as part of our support measures.
These initiatives are part of differentiated approaches to the delivery of teaching practices, offering alternative and personalised ways of working with students.
Pedagogical innovation is highlighted both in the methods and in the content: our goal is not simply to ‘follow the curriculum’ but to ‘go beyond it’.
Certain initiatives apply to all students and are not optional :
Introduced from 6e to 3e in French and maths, this initiative aims to help each student progress at their own level. It is available to all middle school students, from those who are struggling the most to those who perform best. An analysis of learning outcomes and needs helps to organise groups.
Based on students’ personal plans, this initiative focuses on three main activities: support, consolidation and guidance. It is conducted primarily within small groups.
These sessions, held from 6ᵉ to Terminale, are based on a structured programme of clearly defined themes and preventive measures: prevention of bullying, responsible use of social networks, self-confidence, violence barometer, road safety, etc.
Several initiatives are in places to help students with organisational, methodological and/or learning difficulties.
To help students gain confidence and autonomy, specific time slots allow them to receive support from teachers in completing their homework and understanding instructions.
These classes in small groups of 6 to 8 students with similar abilities provide a supportive environment in which teachers can go over topics covered in class once again and reinforce areas that remain difficult to grasp.
The aim is to restore students’ confidence in both school work and daily life at high school. Tutors can be volunteer members of the teaching staff or responsible high school students who are organised and able to ‘coach’ their peers.
In these short sessions, the focus is on organisation and methodology.
Some students have special educational needs (SEN) associated with learning difficulties (‘dys’ disorders, ADHD, etc.) which have been diagnosed by healthcare professionals.
The head of the learning support unit is responsible for identifying students’ specific needs, suggesting educational and pedagogical support measures and ensuring coordinated follow-up in close cooperation with teachers and families.
In this context, they assist families with the process of requesting special arrangements for exams, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
When a Support Plan is put in place, together with the parents and the form teacher, the head of this unit defines appropriate educational arrangements that teachers implement to enable each student to access learning under the best possible conditions.
When necessary, special needs support assistants (AESHs) attend classes and provide partial assistance to students in the classroom. Their role is defined within the scope of the support plans that have been implemented.
Catch-up sessions are also offered to these students by teachers specialising in maths and French.
This scheme aims to welcome students at school during the holidays to organise revision sessions, deepen or consolidate the curriculum, or prepare for the post-secondary transition with volunteer teachers.
Benefits for students : Re-motivation, development of a productive work routine, help with organisation and revision, closer relationships with teachers and flexible scheduling.
To support students with their guidance plan, the school has offered preparatory workshops for the elite higher education programmes for several years.
Structured around two schemes, Prépa Sup’ Sciences and Prépa Sup’ Human Sciences, course modules are offered to interested students in Première and Terminale. The aim is to develop an approach that prepares them both for admission exams and interviews, as well as for the demands of a selective programme.
Specific preparation sessions are also available for the following competitions: Sésame, Accès, Tescia, Geipi, Avenir and Puissance Alpha.
Students can sign up for free.

The counselling and support team assists students experiencing distress, conflicts or bullying, and helps to ensure a calm and safe school environment. It provides a confidential listening space which helps to identify and address sensitive situations with respect for those concerned.
A student can be referred to the counselling and support team by a member of their family or an adult working at the school (psychologist, nurse, chief education adviser, monitor, form teacher, etc.). Any reported situation is handled according to a specific protocol, supervised by two adults, to ensure thorough and appropriate support.
Families are involved in the follow-up when required, with strict respect for confidentiality and the student’s best interests.

In cooperation with SCRIPT, the CEPAS resource centre and the Luxembourg Government’s National Youth Service (SNJ), interested students receive an introduction to mediation and citizenship.
This training prepares them to play a role in conflict management, under the supervision of the student welfare staff, and to take part in prevention and awareness-raising initiatives aimed at saying ‘stop’ to violence and inappropriate behaviour. It therefore promotes positive coexistence within the school community and acknowledges students’ commitment through an official certificate.

Through breathing, relaxation and visualisation techniques, the sophrology practitioner helps students manage their stress, particularly during exam periods, public speaking or anxiety-inducing situations. These sessions allow them to better understand themselves, improve their concentration and approach their studies with greater calmness and confidence.
In close cooperation with the teaching staff, the health service offers an attentive and professional presence.
Nurse team
The nurse team provides routine care and supports students on a daily basis, while lending an attentive ear and offering health advice.
Present every day, the nurses also coordinate preventive initiatives, sometimes participate in classroom activities, and contribute to well-being and prevention measures, particularly within the counselling and support team and the Committee for Health, Citizenship and Environmental Education (CESCE).
Psychologist team
Two psychologists support students by providing a confidential listening space to help them cope with personal, academic or social challenges.
Present every day, with or without appointments, they contribute to students’ well-being and, when necessary, help implement individualised support measures in collaboration with the educational teams.
